This
is a classic problem that has amused and baffled people for centuries!
A
farmer wants to cross a river in his rowing boat. He can only fit one item in
his small boat at a time.
However…
If
he leaves the fox alone with the chicken, wily Mr fox will eat it!
If
he leaves the chicken alone with the bag of grain, the greedy chicken will
gobble it up!
Devise
a way for the farmer to safely cross the river with all 3 items.
Good
luck and enjoy this age old problem!
This is a hard problem
ReplyDeleteBring the fox then bring the grain put a wall where the grain is then bring the chicken so the chicken cant eat the grain.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid you can't build a wall. You only have a boat, a chicken, some grain and a fox!
DeleteI have got an answer. If the farmer takes the chicken over then comes back and get's the fox and take it over. Then if the farmer brings the chicken back to the other side and takes the bag of grain with him to the fox . Then if he takes the chicken bake to the fox the bag of grain and then he is finished .
ReplyDeleteOne person has got the right answer! I have not published it on the blog yet so that others get the chance to solve the problem.
