Persuasive adverts.

This week, we have been looking at persuasive writing however there are other forms of persuasion that are used. This advertisement does not use words but is very effective: what makes this advertisement effective? What techniques does it use to convince you that eating at a Chipotle restaurant in America is better than at other restaurants?

Please check with your parents or carers that it is okay for you to watch this video and this homework can be submitted through the blog or on paper by Thursday, 16th January.

  2. It makes me feel sad and they have used a wide range of emotive language. It also is persuading me by the way the character is expressing his feelings!

  3. It convinces me because there might be lots of healthy food. There all cooked well and washed well. It has lots and lots of vegtables and the food looks really well cooked and looks really yummy.

  4. It is a cartoon, which normally would make a child want to go to Chipotle restaurant. The advert shows us that the other restaurant uses artificial fatteners (a thing is pumped into the chicken to make it fatter). It then says that the factory where Chipotle gets its food is 'All Natural'.This tells us that Chipotle restaurant is better than its neighbouring one.
It shows us the cows locked up in metal cages, which makes the scarecrow sad and if he's sad, it is obviously not good (the other restaurant).
The other restaurant hasn't got any natural things and lies about its food being '100% beefish'.

  5. The things that make that advertisement persuasive are:
It is making other food look horrible and fake, and their food look fresh and healthy.
It is using animation and special effects, so its different from most other adverts.
There is a good, relevant song about using your imagination. It is relevant because that restaurant uses its imagination and the others don't.
It makes you feel sad for the animals, and that they are being cruelly treated.
There are no words, so you have to think about it.

  6. My Homework

The techniques in this video are that they used
    music {imagination}.
This is worth buying because it is about
a town that has a scare crow that is lonely and
he always works for everyone in the town.I think it would
be exiting to watch something like that or that.

  7. I think that the techniques the advertisement used are : when the Scarecrow went home on the bus when he made the food and then the boy looked at it like he thought it was delicious so it makes you want to eat the food. It also showed the factory the food is made in to show you how that the food is delicious it also showed that even though the job looks really boring the food will taste great so it took great effort to make but all the work paid of.

  8. It is a persuasive advert because it has lots of big boards in the background advertising the restaurant. It also shows the scarecrow picking lots of fresh vegetables, which shows that the restaurant uses fresh vegetables.

  9. This advert is very effective and would persuade me to eat in a Chipotle restaurant by using persuasive pictures and music. The advert uses a scarecrow who discovers that even though the pictures on the advertising boards are healthy when he goes inside the factories he finds that there are cows and chickens kept in darkness and not very nice conditions. The meals say 100% beef-ish which doesn't really make you believe that what you are eating is 100% meat. I would prefer to eat in a Chipotle restaurant compared to the others because I could see that the food was freshly made and wasn't fast food, unlike the others that were making lots of meals all at once and using artifical chickens that had chemicals inside. The Chipotle restaurant used a nicer headline than the others that said 'A better world.'

I would definatly like to eat in a Chipotle restaurant rather than the others.

  10. The music is very persuasive. The techniques that they use in the song is the rhythm and the words of this song.It is not all up beat but it's slow. This video also shows imperatives and creates a lot of suspense.
